USB disk never stops spinning
I have a 47PFL6678 with the latest firmware (sept. -13). I bought a brand new harddrive (WD MyPassport Ultra 500GB) and formatted with the TV for recording.
The disk is always in use, even with the TV in standby. The light on the disk is always flashing, the disk is spinning and it feels hot. I can feel it spinning when placing my hand on it.
Should it not go to sleep when not in use? Is this feature not implemented in the firmware?

Hi,
USB spinning when TV is on:
- it's for TimeShift: you can also rewind up to 90 minutes
USB spinning when TV is in standby:
- you have activated the fast wake-up feature

Thank you for the answer. I did turn off the fast wake-up and the disk stopped spinning when the TV was turned off.
However, if you put a laptop to sleep with a usb-disk connected, the disk also goes to sleep. It should not be neccesary for the disk to be powered and spinning 24/7. For the pause function the TV would have to have some RAM available if the disk is sleeping, but in fast-wake standby it should be possible.
