    Hi tsuanhao,

Have you tried to connect the soundbar to the TV with HDMI? I think it does't work with HDMI arc because there's the HDMI arc output on the soundbar... I might be wrong... but try HDMI.

    Cheers,
    Vaga

Well according to the manual, connecting to the hdmi arc channel will allow the soundbar to be used as output for the tv. If connected to the other hdmi ports, it'll just function like other devices connected to the tv, which pretty much defeats the purpose. Does anyone else face the same problem or gas any suggestion? Any input from the Philips team? Thanks

    Dear tsuanhao,

Would that be possible to test the connection with another cable to make sure the cable is all right?

    Thank you.

    Kind regards,

Hi sarka, I tried with different cables and finally realised that the tv can connect to the amplifier only when there are no other devices attached to the tv or amplifier. Unfortunately I do hv a digital cable receiver, ac Ryan media player xbox kinect and Apple TV...
