I have been using the Philips BDP8000 installed recently. My observations so far are that it plays DVDs better than my previous BD-V players, as far as colour, contrast, noise, and sharpness are concerned. It is also very fast even when loading BD-Java discs which normally take a long time to run.

I have searched the Internet thoroughly looking for a more detailed technical description of the CinemaPerfect HD engine that is installed in the player, but at no avail.

I would be grateful if any member of the forum or a Philips moderator can supply these informations or a link to that effect.

I am a movie buff, with interest in audio and video. Any input is appreciated. Thanks.
