Question No audio in PC conection with HDMI cable

Helow, when I connect my PC to 32PFL8404H/12 Tv with an HDMI cable there is not audio transmission, even if I connect a second audio cable to 2 RC input lateral conections (as indicated by the Tv manual). What could I do? Thanks in advance for your help. Pascual

    Hi Thomas,
My PC has an HDMI output and a 3.5 mm stereo-jack output for audio. I connected both to Tv as indicated in the Tv manual in the lateral of the Tv (HDMI input and 2 RC audio inputs), but I can't hear the audio just the video.

I try also the VGA output and the 3.5 mm stereo-jack output for audio. I connected both to Tv in an VGA input and another jack input in the rear part of the Tv. In this case both video and audio were OK.

    Thans for your help.

    Hi Pascual,

if you have a HDMI connection on your PC, you dont need the 3,5 mm output.
Just make sure that on the PC HD AUdio is activated.

    How can you do that?
Connect Headphones to the 3,5mm Jack on the PC, connect the HDMI Cable on PC and TV.

On TV, select the input for the HDMI, on PC, start to play back a movie or an mp3.

Check if you can hear the sound through you Headphones.
Open Up the Windows Audio Settings(Right-Click to the Speaker Symbol in the Taskbar, select Playback Devices and make Sure the HDMI Audio is selected)

If you can still hear the Sound through Headphones > somethings wrong.

If anything goes well, you should be able to hear sound through the PC.

    Regards
    Thomas

    Thankyou Thomas,
In my PC I don't know a way to disconnect the audio from audio jacks, when I connect the HDMI to Tv I can still heard the audio trought the headphones. I have no option to pass the audio trought HDMI to Tv, the only thing I can do is to disabled the audio, but that is not a solution.
But the Tv manual says that I should connect the HDMI and also the audio jack to 2 RC conectors in the lateral side of Tv, and that do not work.
I still have the possibility of using the VGA connector + audio jack, and I will do.

In any case thankyou very much for your help. Pascual

    Hi Toengel,

but my graphic card Intel(R) HD graphics 4000 has not audio options. In my opinion, maybe the problem is on Tv sofware or hardware. Pascual

    Hi,

only connect the HDMI cable to your TV. Then go to the sound settings of your TV and chose HDMI as sound output.

What operating system do you have?

I had the same problem, few months ago.
In my case, my stationary pc was missing s/pidf cable, for connection between motherboard and graphic card.
If you are using laptop than this connection should be already made.
After installing that cable, I have the sound on TV.
But, you must also switch your audio signal from analog to digital. If you are win7 user, right click speaker icon in the taskbar, choose settings and then switch from speakers to digital output.

    Thankyou Sashs,

My laptop should hat this conection made. I think the problem is that maybe my old Tv are not prepared to recive audio througt HDMI conection, just video. And the corresponding 2 RC conections for audio in my Tv doesn' work by an unknown reason.
I will solve the problem conecting HDMI to Tv just for video and using a separated amplifier to connect the 3.5 mm audio-jack of laptop and heard the audio in my Hifi chain ( I have tried and it works).

Thankyou to all people that try to help me. Pascual
