    BDP3000 losing connection

Hi. I have had the above product for around 2-3 years with no problems.

In the last few months or so, DVDs seem to be skipping or losing connection while they are playing. The "no signal" displays on the TV so for some reason it appears that the connection is being lost. It doesn't do it with blu-rays, only DVDs but not all DVDs, only some.

I think I have the most recent firmware update which was done some ago.

I have checked all the obvious things (cable connections etc) and all appears well. I don't know if it coincidence or not, but it has appeared to have started to happen since we bought a new TV, a Toshiba 40L1333B.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    Dear leighc,

There is a possibility it can be the disc playability issue. However, as BDP3000 is a model from 2009, there is no plan for further firmware update.

However, I would recommend to bring the disc and the player to the Local Service Centre for a check.

Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

    Kind regards,
    Sarka
