Angry Having problems with Ariaz sa4ara04kf/12

I'm having problems with my Ariaz. I can't connect Ariaz with my pc. When i connect it to my pc it only shows me startup screen and after that screen goes black. I can't repair/format it through my pc, beacause it's not recognized.
I managed to enter "upgrade mode" that tells me to run downloader

I need help. I even tried to get help from Philips support(live chat) and they couldn't fix it.

ilawkandy: are you able to check your GGR on another PC ?
Sometimes my usb devices aren't recognized properly, and it's because of windows.

Can any of Philips employees solve this ?

Couldn't you just make somekind of detector or realease firmware to public

I'm going to add list of problems:

    1. Doesn't work without cable.
    2. If plugged shows welcome screen about 3-5 sec and then dies again.
    3. Computer doesn't recognize Ariaz
    4. Recognizes only "Actions USB 2.0 (HS) WinUSB Device" while in upgrade mode.
    5. Songbird throws error when i try to fix it "No network..."

    CAN'T reach player's menu, CAN'T fix/repair/format this in songbird

Didn't you flash the GGR with newer firmware, but whole process was corrupt by the end ?
How about using philips device manager under winxp ?

Last chance is a complete wipe under linux, but you'd have to recreate whole file structure.
Eventually just use linux gparted (there's a livecd option, where you can boot it from CD)

ps. hmm, try with latest ubuntu live cd and cross your figners. If it won't detect your raga, I'm afraid you'll have to take it back with reclamation.

I have tried it through ubuntu virtual machine ... but trying that didn't make sense at all. I'll try to get sondbird to winXP pc i have and then i will reply again.

    EDIT:
    Not useful using XP.

On both Win7 and XP there is a error. When i try to repair, it says that : "There was an error while checking for new firmware. Please verify your network connection and try again."

My network connection is ok, but i think if i can remove this error, ill able to reinstall firmware

    Dear ilawkandy,

It looks like the device is faulty. We suggest that you contact your local repair centre or Philips dealer.

    Dear ilawkandy,

From your description it occurs to me that there is some kind of technical fault in the device so really the best solution is to refer it to a qualified technician to perform checks.
