    Me too

    I have the same problem.

    I updated the tv software and now I can't turn on the tv using the remote controller (philips 46pfl8008s/12). I made a factory reset but the firmware is still the last one.

    How can I get back to the original firmware?

    Thanks,
    bye

    Same thing here. After software update (not fully shure if after it):
    -Dimming problems at movies (when most black, if white element, black becomes annoingly bright)
    -16.9 HD/FULLHD mkv movies (most of them) are being vertically stretched (black bars from up/down dissapears, it fullscreens the movie and they look stupid).
    -freezes from time to time
    -come on with DTS decoding people.

    @Everyone:

    You cannot revert to a previous firmware version. Doing so risks bricking your TVs, as downgrading the firmware does not downgrade the standby firmware. If the two mismatch, compatibility problems may appear -- which can brick your TV.

    This is a known issue with 3xx8, 4xx8, 5xx8 right now... there should be new firmware updates coming out soon to resolve this (Philips?).

    Factory reset won't revert to a previous software version. Re-install the TV (Setup -> TV settings -> General settings -> Re-install TV) and re-pair the remote (hold down the red and blue buttons on the remote whilst holding it close to the Philips logo on the TV).

    Re-install the TV. On your model this may be in Installation -> First time setup, and if not, use the method above (don't remember if the 3208 is a smart tv or not).
