    NO SOUND 55PFL7008K/12 with HTS3568/12

Connected my TV 55PFL7008K/12 with a HDMI cable and the Optical Toslink cable to the Home Cinema Set HTS3568/12.
But I am not getting any TV Sound throughout the Home Cinema Set.
Every Time when I try to switch the TV with the options "luidsprekers" to external "Versterker"
it always says "overschakelen naar versterker" and afterwards "Mislukt! TV-luidsprekers actief"
De Home Cinema Set HTS3568/12 is on and sound is selected with Digital In-Optical "DI".
HOW COME I CAN'T GET ANY TV Sound throughout the Home Cinema Set??????

    Hi,

    try first:
    - remove HDMI cable to HTS
    - only connect SPDIF/Toslink
    - switch HTS to SPDIF input
    => do you hear something?

(TV outputs always audio on SPDIF)

    Hi,

does the TV give out Sound via its internal Speakers?
When you only use the TOSLINK connection between the HTS and the TV (disconnect HDMI) do you hear sound from the HTS? (Source needs to be optical in)

    Regards

TV 55PFL7008K connected with HDMI and TOSlink cable to HTS3568.
    HTS on DIGITAL IN,
TV gives SOUND with internal Speakers.
WHEN SWITCHING TO EXTERNAL WITH "OPTIONS" "SPEAKERS" "AMPLIFIER"
message comes "Switching to Amplifier" and then "Failed! TV Speakers Active"
Automatic switching with easylink gives the SAME Error Message.

and NO also when ONLY USING the TOSlink cable NO SOUND throughout the HTS, only the TV Speakers

    Hi,

in this Case it is either the HTS or the TV, so best is to test the TV with another Device, connected via TOSLINK. Or if this is better for you, test the HTS on another TV with TOSLINK.

Damn You are Smart, Its even the TV or the HTS................
your forgot the Cable........... Anyhow Is this the consultation level at these days at Philips.
connecting 2 devices its either one of the two..........................

two devices, both Philips, one with Digital Optical out and one with Digital Optical In, and they can't communicate with each other. again Typical Philips, I am looking at the reason WHY.
both documentations don't give a good image about the specifications of the Digital Optical Out and or the Digital Optical In
