    iplayer message, "your device is not supported"

    TV = 42pfl6008s

    When I open the BBC iplayer app, I get a black screen with the message "your device is not supported".
    There's no option to quit. Only way to exit seems to be by pressing "Watch TV" on the remote.

    TV is connected to my broadband via wireless.

    Can anyone explain / resolve this please? Thanks in advance,

    mjhare

    Thanks Thomas for confirming that Philips manufacture a TV which they advertise as having a working Smart TV app whilst this is not true. As a software developer myself I do not believe that this has slipped through the design and test procedures by accident.

    I look forward to Philips' fix for this, though I won't hold my breath.

    Hi Ina,
    I have checked and can confirm that the iPlayer app now works. Many thanks to Philips. Now please can Philips address my other question, which is a separate post regarding failure to update software? And maybe the 2 new questions I am going to raise about the child lock and Muzu.TV not working?

    Many thanks,
    mjhare
