Led ambilight Tv shows green and purple pixels

I have bought a 37PFL7603D/10 in 2009. Been very glad with it untill it is suddenly showing colours that should not be there. Mostly purple throughout the screen and green in the parts that used to be black. In contact with Philips servicecenter in october they told me to go in the tvmenu by using 123654 and look what update I had. Weird thing happened, going into this menu everything went back to normal. Just by going into this menu. I didn't touch anything and whatched my tv for about a month longer with no problems. After that it suddenly came back again. The menuthing did nothing, therefor the next step was going back to factorysettings, although it looked a little better it did not fix anything. So next step was going to update the tv. I heard a click before going into the update screen and there it was again: a beautifull screen without any colorerrors. But after the update I needed to restart my tv and when it came back on, there was no solution. The awfull coloring, making the screen look like it had a big purple dancing pixel layer on the nice sharp HD picture. So what to do now?
Philips cannot go into my story and will only say it needs to be looked at by a professional.
But it seems so simple, like something is not really connecting, I find it strange that going into the update menu all problems dissapear. Unfortunately because I updated already I cannot go into this screen no more.

Does anybody know what's the problem? What to do next? Or is the real solution let it be repaired by a professional?

    Thanx in advance!

    Hi jjfoto,

It appears to be a periodic screen fault. Resetting factory settings and entering the CSM might have jolted the TV back into a normal function, but the underlying fault does not appear to have been addressed.

I would also advise to have the TV looked at by an authorised Philips Service Centre.

    Best regards,
    Ina
