    This thread is more for details and discussions.
    This FW is applicable to EU models only.

    IMPORTANT: After upgrading your TV, it is necessary to perform a "cold start". This means that, after the TV is running again (after the update), shut down the TV, wait 1 minute (till all components are shut down), and unplug the TV from the mains (pull power cord) for 2 minutes before starting again.

    QF2EU-0.173.44.0 (Date published: 2013-12-10)
    • Solution for half of the HD subtitles that are not displayed.
    • Unicable implementation shall support a user selected LO frequency.
    • Introduction of DVB-T profile full in case of Bulgaria.
    • Introduction Chinese language in Fusion and also (again ) on Android.
    • Solution for Telenet, during wintertime clock is still according summer time (+ 1 hour).

    Hi,

    currently the downloaded ZIP files contains a UPG file, which needs to be renamed to "autorun.upg" if you want to install the update via USB stick.

    Hello,
    I've just bought 47PFL7008K. Unfortunately there are issues with PC/Game mode - Picture moves around 5 pixel (is hard to tell exactly) right when in PC/Game mode and as a result picture is clipped on the right and there is black bar on the left. With PC/Game mode turned off everything is fine (except for lag).
    TV Software version is QF2EU-0.173.44.0 (newest at the moment).

    Has someone encountered this issue before? Are there any workarounds (except turning of Game mode )?

    I decided to put my feedback in a google docs table, because it feels like I have been repeating myself over and over the last couple of months.
    This table is by no means complete, but does display the bugs and other shortcomings I feel this TV still has.

    Short conclusion: version 173.44 is marginally better at best.
    This TV is in my opinion still a long way from the type of product that one might expect from this brand and for this price tag.

    Hi
    i just install the new firmware FW v000.173.044.000 on my Philips 7008 tv, i follow the instructions and all go fine.
    Before the upgrade i see the guide from internet option, now i see only an empty page.
    What was wrong?
    Can i reinstall the software?

    try to delete the interent memory in the network settings. Also pull power cord for 2-3 minutes.

    try to reinstall the latest firmware:

    - create folder "UPGRADES" on an empty USB stick
    - copy the "autorun.upg" into that folder and rename the file to "test.upg"
    - plug in USB stick
    - go to software menu and chose local updates
    - chose test.upg

    after that the upgrade finish i have a dubt:
    - unplug the power cable, after 2 mins power on
    - press stby with remote unplug cable
    Wich is right
