Question No subtitles display on USB playback

I've just got a 32PFL3008H/12 TV and when I play a video from a USB stick (not one recorded from the TV itself) I cannot get subtitles to display.

I can select the relevent .srt files (or even a different srt file) and turn the subtitles on and off (or at least that's what the TV & menus tell me) but no subtitles are actually displayed.

    Any ideas?

    Hi,

normally the video file name and the srt filename should be identical:

    -movie.avi
    -movie.srt

Now you can enable the subtitle with the remote.

    Thanks for the quick reply!

The video and srt files do have the same name (in my case the video is mp4 rather than avi but I imagine that makes no difference).

If I go into the subtitles menu the correct srt file is always already selected so I think the TV "knows" that it belongs to the currently playing movie.

I've tried with 2 different mp4 files, each with their own srt file.
