    Is WMA lossless supported ?

New to the forum as I am new to the product.

My setup - a Pair of AW9000 speakers wired to my router - also on the network is a laptop connected via wifi and an Iomega Iconnect certified DLNA data station (wired to my network) with a Western Digital 1TB USB hard drive plugged into one of the Iconnect's USB ports. My music is all on this hard drive and is stored as Lossless WMA.

I am using Airstudio+ on various Android phones (running 4.2 and 4.3) and tablets but cannot play any of my lossless WMA music - I can see the albums and select them but the app does nothing when I try to play them - the time bar stays at zero and nothing comes out of my speakers.

I have some compressed WMA files and they play OK using the app - I can also play my lossless files using Windows Media Player without any problems.

I can play FLAC files OK so it does not appear to be the file sizes that is causing the issue.

I can also play WAV files but I get no album/track/artist information - even though WAV is not listed as supported - if I could get the album info etc to display I would use WAV instead - the FLAC ripper I have is a bit slow and I already have plenty of music stored as WAV ...

So are you saying that WMA Lossless will not be supported because of the high bit rate ?

Shame your promotional information does not state that on your website -

    Audio Playback
Compression format: MP3, WMA, non DRM AAC (m4A), eAAC+, FLAC
    Sample frequencies: 8-48 kHz (MP3)
MP3 bit rates: 8-320 kbps and VBR
    ID3-tag support: Yes
Music Streaming: Internet Radio, Music Services, PC/MAC, Smartphone/Tablet
So it looks like I have just wasted a lot of money on an inadequate product ...

    Dear gozo,

Yes, unfortunately, there is nothing we can do about it.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

    Kind regards,

I am sure that you could do something about it , but choose not to ...

... at the very least you could amend your promotional literature and products website - mine is not the only product where this question has been raised !

And if you can support FLAC, a lossless format, why not WMA lossless, a format that comes with every PC ...

On my MacBook Pro, I can't play WMA-lossless. Also my Denon HiFi can't play it.
WMA lossless is only a Microsoft thing ... ... ...
