    Dear SPe,

Thank you very much for your post on the forum.

Can you let me know connection possibilities of your TV and 5.1 speakers? Does it have HDMI ARC?

You can have a look at the Connectivity guide on the following link http://www.connectivityguide.philips.com/#diagram which might be helpful for you.

    Happy New Year.

    Kind regards,

    Hi! Thanks for reply.
My TV is connected to soundbar via HDMI ARC now. It works fine. The issue is when TV plays video with 5.1 audio, then Philips sounbar plays disballanced audio. How to resolve this issue?

    Hi SPe,

Can you please explain what do you mean by downmix? And what happens with the audio? What do you mean by saying its disballanced?

    Cheers,
    V.

In my case voices sound too low and side effects sound too high. It usually happens when 5.1 sound transfer to 2.1 speakers. Downmix is a process of proper decoding 5.1 sound to 2.1 sound without effect which i've described.

    Dear SPe,

Can you please provide the surround settings selected for the HTS5131?
Is it on Auto, on Virtual Surround or Stereo?

Furthermore, may I have more information about the Source? Is it TV only? If so, what is the sound format transmitted by the channels?

    Thank you for information.

    Kind regards,
    Sarka
