    MCi900 - Pictures not displaying

Hi I've been using mp3 tag to add album art to mp3s and to assign it being the front cover. Up until recently this has worked fine and art is shown. The recent files I have done have failed to display the art. Is their a limit as to how many can be done? Any ideas?

No specific errors, just no pictures displaying, should I delete the database and let it recreate itself, hopefully with pictures?

However I do suffer from the following which have already been reported to you by mzecher:-

The shuffle option for playlists in the HD is no real shuffle, it's kind of a different sorting. I mean, each time you pick the playlist, all tracks are played in the same order. If you stop and choose to play the same playlist again, a different order is played, but every second time the order is the same. The same happens for the third, fourth time and so on. After having to stop and play 10 times to get a different order, the thing is not funny anymore

It freezes a lot, giving you a blank screen. The only way to get it back is unplug the power.

When playing files from the HD, sometimes it stops playing and gives the following message: "The media server is currently not available. Press <STOP> and try again"

This problem is amplified when connected to either my np3900 or np3300. that's when the mc1900 deigns to appear on the server list of the other two. quite often to get it to appear full resets are needed on every device almost as if the mci900 forgets it's network address.

However the push system, network play works fine every time, strange one that.

There is no way to build a playlist on the fly in the player (they must be created in a PC). You may play all files in the HD when pressing PLAY in All Files, but the same procedure over, for example, Genre jumps into the content of it. You must be on the last folder of a category to be able to play everything in it. You cannot play, for example, all tracks from a single Artist, but you can play all the tracks from an album of that Artist. This makes the whole organization in Genres, Artists and so on useless. With over 25000 tracks doing this is impossible as the unit always crashes.

Then there's the issue of right speaker hiss which means I have to disconnect it from the mains, almost as though it needs to earth itself, plug it back in and it's fine.

    Dear Rollouk63,

Please try and recreate the database and see if it corrects the issue. If not please get back to me so we can escalate it further.

    Kind regards,

Tried that, deleted the database and let it recreate itself, same result as there are 4 albums in the same folder I'm going to try putting them in separate folders then deleting the database just in case the machine is confusing itself.

Solved problem (I Think) the images were in PNG now as JPEGs waiting for DB rebuild before totally declaring success . Now if you could just solve the other issues.
