    [BDP9700] FLAC via DLNA (Push Mode)

    Hi,

    I'm trying to get FLAC files to work over DLNA. There are two modes possible:
    1. Pull Mode (via Browse Network on BDP interface)
    2. Push Mode (via e.g. MyRemote SimplyShare functionality or other Apps - such as BubbleUPNP)

    Problem:
    The Pull Mode is working well, but the Push Mode isn't. When I try to push a FLAC file with the MyRemote app, the app shows a warning, that the device (BDP9700) doesn't support the chosen content.

    The same thing happens, if I'm using the BubbleUPNP App (which is really great): the FLAC files cannot be played.

    Workaround:
    However, the BubbleUPNP has a "UPnP Tweak" settings to deactivate the "Mime-type check". If I'm deactivating the Mime-type check, I can play FLAC files via DLNA.

    Research:
    I checked the supported Mime-types of the BDP9700 with an analysis tool. There is no indication for FLAC. I also checked my AW3000, which can play FLAC files via DLNA. There I found a FLAC Mime-type:

    http-get:*:audio/x-flac:*
    @Philips
    Please add FLAC support via DLNA - it's already working, but only the Mime-type is missing.

    Dear Toengel,

    We only support the mime type for FLAC for 2014 BDP (e.g., BDP5700). BDP9700 the mime types are not there for FLAC.

    Kind regards,

    Hi,

    that is not a satisfying answer - if I'm disabling Mime-Type-Check it's working...
