Mac / PC wont Connect
Hi There,
First time post and I hope someone can help me. I have the following TV 42PFL56030/10. In the last couple of days I am trying to connect PPC 1.42ghz Macmini with a DVI Adaptor to HDMI. I am having no luck what so ever and all I get is the error message 'Unsupported Video Format'.
I tried connecting the cable to other LCD (a 32'' Bush and 42'' LG) in both cases the connection was established right away.
I though then it could be to do with the software update on the TV, I followed the instructions by using a USB stick but the TV does not seem to respond. I bought this TV in 2008 brnad new, I'm sure the warranty has expired. Can an yone advice me on how to resolve these issues?
Thanks kindly for your help.

Hi Any key
the software update should work....
Have you checked if the correct files are on the USB stick? without any additional folders or files?
There should be only 2 files on your stick.
Than follow these instructions: LINK
By the way: I'm not sure if the update solves your issue - but the update itself have to work!

Do you use a OSX or a Windows OS on the MAC?
Which Resolution/Refreshrate do you use?
Does the OS recognizes the TV as 2. Monitor?
Just checked, maybe the Mac gives out the Image with 50Hz, that can be a Problem on the TV, make sure you use 800*600,1024*768 or 1920*1080(i)
at 60Hz.Last edited by a_Tom; 05-30-2011 at 06:08 AM.
