    Sometimes Smart TV does not work

    I have a 55"7108S/12

    I have the Latest FW v000.173.044.000.

    Sometimes (not always but often) when I start Smart TV the blue bar swipes a couple of seconds and then the screen window has no apps and there is nothing in the two boxes that normally are supposed to show what is currently on TV and in the other some commercial. Same time this happens also the TV guide (over IP) shows its screen window with the purple/red background but guide is empty and the box showing the ongoing TV program is blank.

    In this situation I need to restart the TV and it will work next time I start Smart TV or TV guide.

    - Why? What is wrong

    - Is there a workaround?

    - Is this issue known?

    Today when it happened (smart TV did not work) I used the function to reload the page via options on the remote.

    After a while the TV displayed a window from Net TV saying "due to maintenance the requested page is not available"

    But I wonder if this is a bug, because I simply restarted the TV and it worked again (takes a long time because one cannot press smart TV immediately after start-up, then the Smart TV hangs and one have to restart TV again)

    Another time when I started the Smart TV, TV screen went black and a blue bar sweeping and after a minute there was a white text in upper left corner saying "to complete smart TV sign-in, please switch your TV set off and on again". So I did. When starting Smart TV this time TV went to network registration first, took some minutes, then to black screen with blue bar again some minutes, then to Smart TV and loaded the apps after some minutes.

    After 30 minutes of trouble the Smart TV had finally started.

    - Can someone from Philips comment this?

    This kind of behaviour is not acceptable. This must be corrected.

    At the same time apps worked fine on my WD TV Live and Boxee - so nothing wrong with my network at the time.

    Do not bother to answer, the TV is refunded and replaced with a Samsung.
