    Question Sound tv

Hi, we have bought the home cinema set HTB7255D and with our old philips home cinema set we could let the sound playing whilst the tv was on over the speakers. Is this also possible with this home cinema set because I can not find it in the manual. We have connected audio through analog audio cable ( the red and white plugs) the optical cable wasn't possible because our tv was already a couple of years old (read too old)
Hope someone knows an answer. Thanks in advance.

    Dear Mirjam,

What is the make/model number of your TV and what connection options are there?

    Kind regards,

Dear Rafal, first thanks for your reply. My tv model is 32pfl9632d/10. Now i have connected both with the analog audio cable but with the old home cinema set i pushed aux (if i remember good) on the remote controll and i got tv sound on my speakers.
The answer in the Philips shop was that our tv was too old and if we wanted sound on via the speakers we had to buy a new tv....

    Dear Mirjam,

Your TV hasn't got a digital optical OUT so you won't be able to use best quality audio available. Nevertheless, you still should be able to use your analog audio OUT on your TV.

    Please try the following:

Connect audio through analog audio cables: Using an analog cable, connect the AUX connectors on your home theater to the AUDIO OUT connectors on the TV.

Please let me know if you succeeded with this connection.

    Kind regards,
    Philips Moderation Team
