    Lightbulb AW5000 Connection to iPad lost

    I have had my AW5000 for 5 days and it has been causing some grieve and annoyance. First setting it up took like ages and then whenever I shut it down to stand by close my pad and open it and switch the AW back on, there was no way the pad would connect to the AW. Power cord out, shut down and start up pad completely usually did the trick. Lot of hassle if you ask me.
    Now a few days down the road still the same issue, untill I read this:
    The AirStudio/AirStudio+ app MUST BE force closed and opened again after the device
    firmware has been upgraded successfully. You can follow the links below to force close
    the AirStudio/ AirStudio+ app.

    in the firmware manual!!! Seems that this does the trick every time. You have to HARD shut the Air studio app and the open it again via the normal App Icon. Then it works everytime!!

    I've read this annoyance a few times on the threads here. So this is a solution! Seems more like an Apple "bug" so to speak than a Philips problem.

    Can someone from Philips comment this??? and maybe confirm??? Can this be mended? Is there an easier way of re-establishing connection between pad and AW after switching either one or both off?

    Hmm, I don't have that problem with my iPAD 2 (latest iOS 7.0.4). It typically shows a busy sign for a while (when coming back home), but then finds the devices (sometimes I've to wait for 40s).

    I guess you've tried to push the famous refresh button already. BTW, do you've more than one device in the network (which is DLNA / uPnP compliant) ?
