    DS8550 bluetooth does not pair

I am trying to connect my DS8550 to my iPad and Mac via bluetooth, but they just do not pair.

As instructed in the manual, I press the bluetooth button on the device. The blue light then starts blinking for some seconds. The device may or may not show up in the list on the iPad - it seems to be random if it shows up or not. Tapping the device-name eventually leads to an error-message that the device needs to be turned on.
In the mean time, on the device the blue light has stopped blinking and is turned on.

There used to be a time that everything worked fine, as my iPhone was paired and is still working properly with the device using bluetooth.

Does anyone have any suggestions how to get the iPad and Mac connected? Or is it a bluetooth fault in the device and will it need servicing...

    Hello munt,
Do you use the latest software version of the DockStudio? I would recommend you to restart both devices (iPad & dock) and pair it again.
Btw, if you connect your phone through the bluetooth, it works, right?

    Cheers,
    V.

    hi Vaga,

Indirectly you helped me solve it! It turned out that the iPhone, even when turned off, claimed the bluetooth connection - thus hindering other devices to connect.
Having turned off Bluetooth on the iPhone, everything went according to expectations. So it all works now.

    Thanks,
    munt
