    HTS5562 Settings will not store

    Hi

I have an Philips HTS 5562 Home Theater System connected to a Philips 55 inch PFL6008 TV. Easylink has stopped working properly and on further investigation the HTS is not retaining any of its settings i.e. easylink settings or sound settings. So now have to manually go through setup and adjust system audio settings to get TV sound to come through HTS system. Have tried different variations of Easylink settings. I have done a restore of factory defaults and have attempted to upgrade software both via USB and via WiFi network both of which give the "upgrade software failed verification" message. Have spent a lot of time trying to find a solution but cannot. Can anyone suggest a solution? Pleeeese!

    Dear Pugwash72,

thank you for the post. Can you please confirm the software version of your HTS? Have you tried to unplug the device from the mains?

    Kind regards,

Thanks for the response. Yes I have disconnected the HTS unit from the mains a few times but makes no difference, setting still reset when unit is put in standby. Software details are as follows: System SW: 1.13.00, Subsystem SW: 34-17-00-00.

    Hi Sarka
Thought I had downloaded this one before but perhaps I didn't do it properly. Downloaded OK this time and TV and HTS working in sync much better now and settings retained. Many thanks for your help.
