    Old firmware download

    Hi,
I currently have FW 000.173.044.000 installed on my 46" 8008S, but I'd like to install and test an old firmware. I can't download it from Philips website, because there is only the latest FW available.
Could someone give me links to old FW?

    - v000.173.042.000 (I need this one especially)
    - v000.171.056.000
    - v000.171.051.000

    Please

    Hi!

    FYI

Please be aware that performing any kind of downgrade of firmware on your TVs is to be done at your own risk.

Downgrading of software is recommended to only be performed by authorised service technicians, due to the risk of irreversible effects.

Downgrading could also in some circumstances void the warranty of your TV.

    Best regards,
    Ina

I am wondering why rolling back to old FW will damage tv and harm warranty.
Normally the whole flash will be overwritten, the not used locations will be filled with FFFF or 0000.
So only if there are "fuses" blown every time there is an update, it makes no sense.
Fuses are sort of tracks which prevent users from going back to previous versions, also used in Xbox to prevent jtagging (hacking).
As far as I know the TV firmware is open source, so please shine light on this issue.
