Bdp 9700 firmware upgrate + hdmi problem

    Hi to all.

On friday i got the 9700 blue ray Player, that had an old firmware.

Yesterday I upgrated to the latest firmware which has benn succefull and after that there is no signal to the TV set, via HDMI, dispate all my effords and whatever I have tried. Before the upgrade there was no problem with the signal. A few times (2-3) it played a BD and it sents signal to the tv, then the signal stoped again.

Now I cannot do anything and i am stacked with a black screen.

Addittionally there are times that I cannot swich the Player off an i have to unpluged it.

Is there any solution for that? My TV set is a Philips one 42'', running the latest firmware of May 2011.

    Please help!!

    Tnaks in advance

    Hi,

    try the following:
    - start BDP via Home button
    - press in this order: Home + 8 +5 + 2 +0

    Also try.

    - pull power cord of BDP
    - switch off TV
    - replug power cord of BDP
    - start BDP with Home button

If this doesn't work, try to connect via composite to another screen, and load factory defaults.

What TV model do you have exactly?

The aforementioned problem seems that have been solved after NEW firmware.

I have now a more serious problem. From last night the Player does not start at all. Despite all my effords only thw Red light turns to white, the screen is blank and nothing happens.

i havw also tried to start it with the HOME BUTTON, the same.

    Any ideas please
