    Dear Consumers,

We very much appreciate your feedback and apologise for the delay in creating the new firmware.

At this point we would like to make clear that we have taken everyone’s feedback on board with our technical team.

We can confirm that the next firmware release will be dealing with a number of the issues that you have fed back to us.

However, at present, the firmware is still going through testing.

When we have further information we will release a list of the solutions the latest firmware provides as well as more info on the firmware availability to our users.

Depending on the complexity of the issues captured it can take a longer period of time to investigate.

With this in mind we would like to ask you for your patience as we look to create a satisfactory solution for our loyal customers.

    With Kind Regards,
    The Philips Forum Moderation Team

Hello, I'm new here. Bought the BDP9700 4 weeks ago and updated to the latest firmware. All is fine except the totally unpredictable PINK or GREEN screen at the startup of the BDP9700. Once it was even a vertically striped PINK/WHITE kind of wallpaper. It happens once in about 5 times of startup. The only way to stop this is to unplug the power cord for a few minutes. Hope Philips will solve this bug with the next update.

    Hi,

update again via USB stick, but change the folder from UPG to UPG_ALL. When the update was successful, shut down, pull power cord for 2-3 minutes.

install the latest firmware again, but rename the folder UPG to UPG_ALL. When the BDP is running again, shut down, pull power cord for 2-3 minutes (also factory reset before).

    Hi Toengel,

Responsiveness still good, but today (4 days after your upgrade suggestion) the screen was pink again after starting my bdp9700. Looks like there's definitely something wrong. A software upgrade would be very much appreciated! Regards, Mikkel

    Hi Toengel,
Today a new variation: the screen became black. Pulled out the AC plug and restarted. Screen green. Procedure again: screen o.k. Any ideas?

    Hi,

not necessary - if you had before 4.19/4.21, then it's not necessary.
