    Hello,

Does it happen with other discs as well? Have you tried restoring factory settings?

    Kind regards,

hello, and thank you for answering me

no ,fortunately it just happened with this blu ray only a this time.

So I did not try to restore factory settings , (my installation is complex : blu ray towards videoprojector by hdmi 1.4 1080 p 24 , and amplificator via digital and analogic 7.1 output (in order to get dts hd 7.1 on my ancient, but efficient ,ampli ) ; i had to make precise settings to do so and it was 3 years ago...

So i try to know more about this specific blu ray a the time before to take any risks.

I am facing this issue as well; X-men blu-ray keeps getting ejected. As suggested, I restored the player settings to factory defaults and that did not help either.
I have a Region A, Philips BDP8000/12 player (I bought it from Hong-Kong, but I live in India) running FW version: 1.53.

I downloaded fw 1.63 but got an error pop-up that said: "Upgrade software failed verification".
Please instruct me how to proceed.

    Hello shishir,

    Thank you for your post.

BDP8000 should have no problems with playing back this disc.

Please upgrade your firmware to version 1.63. You can download it together with instructions from the link below:

    Hi,

As I mentioned in my previous post, I downloaded FW ver 1.63 but I got this error "Upgrade software failed verification. Please insert correct software".

    How must I proceed?

    Thanks,
    -shishir

My upgrade to 1.63 not happening and hence, X-Men playback failing problem has got solved.

I downloaded FW 1.63 for BDP8000/78 and placed the BDP_8000_S_A.BIN file in the UPG_ALL folder along with the previously downloaded BDP_8000_S_B.BIN. For some reason, the player was able to detect a new firmware and was able to perform upgrade. Now, the player plays the X-Men-Days of Future Past BD.

I thought I would upgrade the thread in case it helps.
