Can I use a network drive?

Since early January I'm using the AW1000 system. I set it up with my old fashioned FA260 analog sound system.
It works fine both from my wife's Ipad and from my smartphone.

However, the storage space of the Ipad is limited and cannot be reached from the smartphone.
Therefore I like to use a network drive, permanently connected to the router, to store all the music we have.

I think this will only work when the network drive provides the right audio protocol? If possible which network drive should I buy?

Please a reaction before I spend the money.

    Hi,

you can buy a NAS. On a NAS a DLNA server needs to be installed (such as Twonky, Serviio, Plex Media Server).

You can buy a NAS which has a DLNA logo on it (most of them have it anyhow installed. E.g. I use a Buffalo Linkstation Live and a Synology DS210j). I've had once a Seagate NAS, but that was somewhat slow to my opinion.
