    Dear MissMac,

Thank you for the post on the forum.

As it is not a portable power supply model, we would not guarantee the life time of the battery because it is also depending on the daily operation. Please refer to our warranty period as 2 years.
The battery can be only replaced in Service Centers.

    Kind regards,
    Philips Moderation Team

Question More details on battery of HTL 9100 please

    Hi guys

Ok so the battery can only be replaced in Service Centers.
Are you able to provide me with the cost to replace them?
Where are the Service Centers located? (Obviously if it would require me to pay postage it would add to the overall cost of the item).
On average how long would it take to replace the battery and have them returned to me?
You mentioned a warranty period of two years. What specifically would your warranty cover in regards to battery replacement?
Most importantly, what type of battery is in the speakers? Are they lithium batteries?

Obviously while the detachable speakers are a great idea, I also want to be enjoying the soundbar for an extended period. I'm factoring in the potential incovenience of having to send the speakers off to a Service Center as opposed to simply being able to replace batteries or having the reassurance from the manufacturer that the replacement process is hassle free.

In this case I would suggest you to contact Consumer Care and they will be able to assist you with the issue and provide you specific information about the replacement process.

    Please have available:
    The exact model number
    Your date of purchasing
The serial number of your product

The telephone number for Australian Consumer Care is: 1300850633

The Consumer Care is open: Monday to Friday 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST

    Kind regards,
    Sarka

    Very unhelpful customer service

    Hi
Seeing as I was only contemplating buying the Htl 910 and wanting information on the type of battery, your reply was unhelpful and unsatisfactory.
Was it too hard to let me know what type of battery is in the speakers?
Based on the "customer care" I have received and lack of knowledge of the product I would not be purchasing this Philips product or any other. Clearly Philips are not prepared to support their products and aren't confident that they are producing a quality product.
