Hi Craig
As mentioned in my previous post, both iPods are PC formatted according to your guidance above. one is 160gb latest generation and the other 30gb but not sure which generation, it's much older though.
On the SD cards, 64gb just will not work, but 32gb is fine...
Cheers
Mark

Mark,
Thanks for confirming.
Odd that my 60GB 4th Gen works then.
So I guess my Question to Philips still stands -
Is there a software update avail?
How is this update performed?
Philips - Can you clarify?
I upgraded a CMD310 to move across to the CED780/98 -
Just So I could control the music on the iPod / Touch screen of the CED780/98.
The CMD310 completely disabled controls of my iPod Classic - But at least It could read the 160GB 7th Gen.
Philips need to offer an update to fix the issue -

Agreed. My Bluetooth connects fine. I can stream fine.
I have a lot of music on my iPhone and it seems to work fine, (iPhone 5S 64GB).
I am more concerned about my 160GB IPOD CLASSIC working.
I have just over 100GB worth of Music and this amount is growing. I purchased the CED780 so I could play the iPod on the PHILIPS CED780.
I was careful to check the specifications before purchase.
I am not the only one. There are multiple other sites and forums that have the same problem listed.
What action is being made to fix this issue with the iPod Classic? Software / firmware / new motherboard with more ram to read larger files?
Is there a new model on it's way in development?

The unit now cuts out every few seconds the sound, does not make any difference if it is radio, CD iPod etc. got to be one of the worst (and expensive) car players I have ever seen.....

Mark,
I've not received a Satisfactory response. I returned the CED780 to my place of purchase. They suggested the Nakamitchi NA1850 -
Excluding the software - EVERYTHING is the same

(And the iPod Classic works FINE!)
The only thing i noticed was connecting an iPhone 5s via USB Wasn't detected.
However, Music via Bluetooth is fine.
