Hi Ina,
His link worked for me. He posted also in Topic: New owner and depressedhttp://www.supportforum.philips.com/...-and-depressed
In fact I had issues to watch with Google Chrome, but with Firefox it worked... (it was strange).

Hello Sharaf,
Try to take of the powercord for 2 or 3 minutes! Then start your TV normally and wait for some minutes more until it started completely...
Most problems are solved this way! I had exactly the same problem (turning off issue) Taking off the powerord solved it!
The majority of problems are solved by giving the TV a "cold restart". Some kind of reset I suppose(?).
I agree with all users, reading this reply, that this should not be neccesairy!! So I hope philips solves this soon!
Regards,

Why is there a Skype icon in the home menu, for a TV that doesn't have built-in camera and microphone? I think a lot of customers would like the "upgrade software" function at that position, that would save a lot of keystrokes.
With version 173.46 the problem of random shutdowns, like those shown in the YouTube video of Sharaf, went a lot worse than with previous software versions. I had to leave the TV unplugged overnight twice already, since this version was released.

Hi AvdW,
Not everyone uses the Skype function. For the Skype function you can buy an aditional Skype camera with build in microfone (model: PTA317).
With Fw.44 and .45 i needed to unplug my Tv for several times to. With this new .46 version(untill now) i dont have any problems like that
After you plugged of the powercord all works fgood for you now?
regards, Jarno.

Hello Ina!
I can confirm the problem still persists, while 4:3 broadcasts on HD channel and AutoFill function remains an image in this format and does not respond to other format changes. This applies to DVB-C, DVB-T and satellite tuner

I've had random blackouts lasting several seconds, and BBC iPlayer no longer streams - I just get time outs - yet other apps like youtube, or local network streaming of content work just fine.
I would like a download link to the previous firmware version so I can roll back.

Just an update for my issue. I called the Philips customer centre last Friday (8 days after I sent it in) and they told me the issue is not fixed and they are still checking. Today I called again to check (12 days after sending in) and they still told me the same thing. When I asked what was wrong, they couldn't tell me exactly and just told me they are waiting for the parts to be changed. ETA is by this week. But I'm just skeptical as to why couldn't they tell me what needs changing or fixed. Almost 2 weeks without my TV and I'm going crazy. Ina, if you could, please tell your Malaysian Service counterpart that this issue is known and it is not right to keep your customers waiting for so long for it to be fixed or even a proper diagnostic report to me.

i have 42PFL6008S/12 and updated today. Sound is gone. picture is full of pixel errors in the background. I tested with tv, apps and PS3 on HDMI. Same situation. I bought the TV in december, and was quite disappointed about how slow the TV reacts, and how often the tv gets out of sync with speech and picture. So when i saw that y tv recommended to update, i was happy. Hoping my problems was solved. Now i have a tv, that is none functional. :-(
I have turned of the TV several times as recommended, but this does not change anything. Is there a way of going back to the previous firmware, a rollback function or a factory reset ? Or can i download an older firmware somewhere ?
