Exclamation BDP9700/12 : very slow opening some dvd's

Hi have a BDP9700/12 with software release 4.19. When opening some dvd's (with introducing trailers) the systems hangs up or only opens the root menu for the main film after 5 to 10 minutes. These dvd's open immediatly on other dvd players (cheep samsung of expensive denon).

    Hello,

V4.21 is for /93 and /98 only and with same benefits as v4.19 for /12.

I suggest you perform a factory reset and see if it improves the performance.

    Kind regards,
    Philips Moderation Team

    Hello,

I did a factory reset, it didn't help anything. THe player hangs up.

    The software release is 4.19.

I didn't reconnect to the internet (wifi) to be sure that there were no other processes running.

How are you going to solve this (serious) issue ?

the S/N of my player is : KX1A1326009821

    Hi,

maybe you post some titles + Barcode of these DVDs, so Philips support can test.

I didn't try all my disks ;-), I purchased the blu-ray player last week and I just took some of my DVD's to see if the 1080 upscaling was good. It blocked on this one.

I also noticed that the smart TV is very slow and sometimes "hangs up".

It looks like the processor can't handle much "processing" ;-(
