    New owner and depressed

having chosen Philips over other brands and facing this amount if issue is simply one of the biggest mistakes I did.

I just installed the TV 2 days ago and these are my issues:

    1-DTS
I have like close to 5TB of DTS movies which now is useless.
Whats the workaround, shall I use optical cable from my media player to amplifier then to the TV? doesit work?

    2-Audio thru HDMI
beside DTS, other movies, on my laptop, when connected HDMI to the TV its doesnt pass-thru audio, however; if I put them on USB stick the audio works just fine, is it a configuration issue? same tested from the media player.

I am so depressed, should you recommend replacing the TV with Samsung? is that what Philips want?

IF anyone on the forums think I should replace it with Samsung please tell me our openion as I in the 7 days period which I can replace the TV.

BTW I am using the latest Firmware 46

DTS wont be enabled for this TV. As long as I know.

    If you can, replace.
    I have the same TV:
Picture is nice but smart tv, dts and subtitles support are SO outdated that you do not want to start wandering around.

Replace as soon as you can! I have Philips and it was a terrible mistake! Image is great, but smart TV functionality is a big lie. Unfortunately, I just tested the TV more than 15 days after buying, because it stayed at home on the box waiting for installing. I would change mine if I could!

Interesting! Quoting the website in the own website can be considered infringement!

You're welcome! The attachment was just an image (print screen) of this web site, in a product's page, were you could see the option "Get rid of it" (of course it was modified).

Any way, I solved my problem and I made my TV smart with a Raspberry Pi (that by the way is less powerful than the TV, but still, preforms twice better than the TV).

I have a new issue, the TV shuts down and open back on its own, I tried posting a YouTube video for the issue, but its seems the mods didnt approve for some reason.
