    Exclamation CSS2123/05 Sound distortion

    I've been having intermittent sound distortion problems for a while, which happens when using TV, PVR, Blu-ray & Apple TV. These are all connected through optical connection through the TV. I have tried connecting each device directly to the soundbar to eliminate it being a problem with the TV.

    I have also connected my iPhone to the soundbar through the Music iLink and get distortion through this too. I've reduced the bass & treble to zero, but hardly makes a difference.

    The Blu-ray is connected through the red/black cables so do not think its an optical problem. Also tried several optical cables.

    I thought it was some kind of reverb from the TV cabinet, so raised the speaker, but made no difference also.

    My warranty expires at the end of March so need to get this sorted out imminently

    Hello,

    If you play audio from the TV through the SoundBar, make sure that the TV is muted.

    Yes this is muted, it's a problem on the soundbar itself. It's like something has blown that's distorting the sound.
