GoGear Vibe 4Gb not compatible with Songbird playlists

    Model : GoGear Vibe/12
    SA4VBE04KF/12
    Firmware : 1.20

Before this model, I had the 8GB one which had the possibility of reading custom lists created with Phillips Songbird - the feature I most appreciated. In fact, I have about 750 tracks from 37 albums of the same singer. Some of them are compilations, and the singer recorded several versions of the same song,
Unfortunately I lost my 8 GB player and couldn't find another one, so I finally purchased the 4GB model. This one does not recognize the playlists I created with Phillips Songbird, which played fine in the 8 GB player.

It took me some time to understand that issue. When I searched the FAQ I finally discovered that the capaciti (or not) to read playlists had something to do with te serial number.

So, my question is: if I buy another 8 GB player, is is possible that it might not be able to read custom playlists created with Songbird?...

    Thank you for your attention.
    Best Regards

    Hey GuidaQ,

how big is the file with the songs which you want to transfer to your device?
A music memory capacity of the player is up to 900 tracks (based on 4 minutes per song and 64 kbps WMA or 128 kbps MP3 encoding).

    Cheers,
    V.

Hi, Vaga, and thank you for replying
My problem is not exactly with the player capacity, but with the impossibility of using lists created with Phillips Songbird:
the 8 Gb player - same model, double capacity - could read those lists; the 4Gb player can't; that's my only problem...
    Thank you.
