Video file types supported by 40PFL4908/F7 smart tv?

What video file extensions are supported by a 40PFL4908/F7 smart tv? I would like to play .avi files on it but always get the message "file not supported." When I convert from avi to mp4 it sometimes works, sometimes doesn't. I'd rather not convert but just use the original file.

    Thanks,
    Larry

    Hi Larry,

Your TV supports the following file types:

    MPEG1 (.mpg / .mpeg)
    MPEG2 (.mpg / .mpeg / .vob)
    H.264 (.mp4)
    MPEG4 SP/ASP (.avi)
    MPEG4 (.mp4)

You can find this information on page 53 of the user manual:

    Best regards,
