Philips 40PFH4109/88 - Need some info...
Hi. I recently noticed that a new LCD popped up at local retailers (there is some techical info here but not in english: https://pood.elion.ee/productInfo/55...#technicalInfo ). So im assuming it's new. Infact it's so now that i cant find any information or even decent images (exept a few promo) about it in the internet. Also it does not seem to follow Philips standard naming scheme wich is PFL not PFH. I was deciding to get 3100 series but now i dont know because this 4109 seems the same but it's newer. I also seem to find it available only in Eastern-Europe (i live in Estonia). So a region specific model then?
Can Philips support shed some light on this or atleast get a product page going?

Hi Tomorrow,
This TV is a Hotel TV and not intended for general consumers, but for hotels and businesses.
You might be able to obtain more information from the Hospitality TV support regarding the TV:

Hi,
@Ina
it's not a Hotel TV - it's a 2014 TV. Philips has changed the naming scheme. PFH means:
P = Philips Flat Line
F = FullHD
H = H-Tuner
(HFH would be the Hotel version)

Hi Alex,
Yes, of course you are right! What would I do without you to correct me when I am so horrendously wrong?
I think I need my glasses checked...
@Tomorrow:
We do not currently have any additional information available for this set. I believe the product pages are in the process of being put up, but I don't have a time line at the moment.
Best regards,

Yep indeed. I now own one (arrived yesterday). This is crearly aimed at home consumer. Looks and plays ok. Some slight clouding (backlight inconcistency) in the dark but not too bad. Setup was a breeze. Looking forward to the product page so i can stay on top of potential software updates.
Before this i was struggling to choose a model because the older models (2012) had a nessesary headphone out port but had a fat bezel that looked ugly. New ones (2013) had thin bezel but lacked headphone out. This 2014 model seems to have both so no need to compromise.

Hi Tomorrow.
Software updates will also be announced in our newly created 2014 Software section of the forum:
http://www.supportforum.philips.com/...re-2014-models
The software thread for your TV should be created shortly, so if you have any feedback in regard to the software, please feel free to add it when the thread it up!
