Angry Attention to Greek customers: Why NOT to buy a Philips TV

I want to post my experience in order to prevent other customers for buyng Philips TVs from Greece.

Before 5 months I bought a defective TV(model No. Philips 42PFL3208H). The TV from the first day occasionally freezed while changing channel or navigating to the menu options. The only option to work again was to unplug.

The Philips contact center suggested a firmware update to solve the problem. The next day the problem occurred again.

Next attempt: A firmware update at the Philips service point to solve the problem - The problem persisted
3rd attempt: Replace TV main board (called SSB circuit?). Philips guaranteed that the problem was solved. The problem occurred again the first day I received back my TV
4th attempt: Replace AGAIN main board. The problem was not solved. The problem occurred again the first day I received back my TV

After 5 months the defective TV is still not fixed nor replaced or refunded. Besides that Philips customer service cannot provide any answer if any action can be taken. Also the official service cannot provide an answer.

As a result, neither Philips customer service nor the official service point take responsibility of the problem to give an official answer. At the question who is responsible to provide solution/answer the answer is:

We cannot provide such information or contact point because there is no Philips representative at Greece.

As a result, after 5 months without TV, the only answer is that we do not know who is responsible and if the product will be repaired or replaced

    hili
From all the above, the conclusion is that in case of defective Philips item, no one can provide solution to Greek customers so buying a Philips product from Greece is like purchasing a product with no guarantee.

Please contact me directly If I have misunderstood

    Regards

It is unacceptable that you are not even answering to your customers and take responsibility of the defective products you sell!

    Hi touristas,

This is mainly a user to user forum, but I would like to look into your issue further.

Could you please give me some details of your case, such as any Philips customer service reference numbers you may have?

And also your name and contact details may be needed.

Please send these to me in a private message. Click on my name and select Private message.

    Best regards,
    Ina
