    22PFH4109/88 USB Recording DVB-C

Hi everyone, I just bought my daughters two 22PFH4109/88 sets. I bought them because they have a DVB-C, a CI+ slot and the set is able to record via USB.

I have everything connected, the CI+ card from my cable operator, I can see all the channels in my subscription plan without any problems.
The problem is that there is no recording option on the TV, well there is a record button and a pause button but they don't do nothing when I press them.
I attached a USB stick (32GB) also tried with a 320GB HDD, but the system recognizes those for playback. There is no option to format them for recording.
In the online leaflet it says that I need to get the most recent firmware to be able to record via USB so I did, I have upgraded the TV with 2.3 firmware version for this set, but unfortunately the Recording Option is still unavailible.

    Can someone please help me?

Oh, I also talked to my cable provider and they said that they in no protect the channels from recording.

What puzzles me is that nothing, and I mean nothing even shows on the screen (no warning/text) when I press the record button.....

    please help.

    thanks

    Hi,

as written in the leaflet / data sheet:

Software upgrade required for Pause TV and USB recording. For more details about the software update, please visit www.philips.com/TV and click on support.

I think you need to wait some weeks/months for that update.

Hi, thanks for the answer. To be clear I did the software update as stated in the leaflet.
Could someone from Philips answer the question please?

    thanks

    Hi,

sure you did. However, the changelog does not state, that the current update includes the recording feature...

That's a little stupid of philips, advertise something and then make people wait for the feature.
