    Hi Mihai,

You've posted in the wrong forum, but I'll go ahead and try to assist anyway. My suspicion is there's something wrong with the character encoding of the actual input file -- how are you displaying the subtitles, and what kind of file is it? Integrated subtitles, external subtitles?

If they're external, try and convert the encoding to Unicode (UTF-8) and see if that helps. Obviously also make sure your TV is up to date.

Sorry i wanted to post it on 3xx8 but by mistake i hit 2xx8 ,
anyway the diacritics in Romanian that are not displayed correctly are ă ș ț
    ş is displayed º
    Ș is displayed ª
    ț is displayed þ
ă is displayed ã wich is not a big problem
    and its external subtitle

PS the tv is up to date i have checked last evening

I apologise for double post but my problems are solved , with a subtitle editor i have edited the subtitles and changed font to central european and saved as UTS-8 encoding and it works perfect
    Thank you
