    39PFL2608 streaming issue

    Ina,
I am new to the forums and not sure if my streaming question is in the right topic/area. I have been searching around for answers to a similar question. I recently purchased a 2000 series (2013 model) 39PFL2608 Smart TV. It works great and pleased with it. I connected it to my router with a LAN connection and passed the tests / checks. I have a Sagecom router with a USB port that I have hard drive connected to it that contains my movies (mostly MP4, but others also). I am able to browse my folder on the router and see all my movies (same with my PC). It places an X in the box of movies it cannot play (nice feature) but for the other when I select it to play, it appears to buffer forever and never play the movie. Is there a limitation to this model preventing playback. I used to have a PS3 hooked up to another TV that is able to find my movies and play them.
I am able to play these same movies from the usb port.

    Any help would be appreciated
    Bostoi

    Hi Bostoi.

I have moved your post to it's own thread as your TV model was different to the original poster's, and therefore not relevant to the topic

I will look into this and get back to you when I have more information.

    Best regards,
    Ina

    Hi Bostoi.

Please see the user manual (page 24) as it has information regarding the file types the customer is trying to play. It is very specific in regards to the video and audio formats the file needs to be in to successfully play.

    As well as these steps:

You can turn your TV into Digital Media Renderer (DMR), which can play video, music and photo files stored on DLNA certified home media servers connected to your home network by using Digital Media Controllers (DMC).

Use ▲▼ to select Home network, then press OK.
Use ▲▼◄► to select the item you want to adjust, then press OK.
    Turn Renderer On

    Best regards,
    Ina

Thank you for the quick response. However, my TV and media all conform to what the manual and your instructions point out. It seems to work from the usb port and not through streaming from by Sagemcom router. Is the software incapable of playing off the hard drive connected to the router?

Some clarification would be appreciated and again thanks for the quick responses.

    Hi Bostoi,

I'm still awaiting confirmation about the capabilities of your TV in this regard. Because your TV is a US model and this forum mainly deals with the EU market, this is taking longer than normal.

    Thank you for your patience.

    Best regards,
    Ina
