Thumbs down PFL 8008s / Interaction with any IR Telecommander

My PFL8008s - after 2 months of usage - reacts by switching on resp. off when I press any key on my Panasonic IR device for my Harddisk recorder or my IR device for my Onkyo Cinema Receiver. Any time I press any key on either of those two devices, my TV turns on or off. This behaviour may only be stopped by putting something in front of the TVs IR receiver.
PS: This is my second PFL8008S TV as the first one was replaced by the dealer because it showed the same strange after one day of usage behaviour.

    Hi jaeggiul,

Please remove the power cord from the TV for 30 mins or more, then reconnect.

If you are still having issues hereafter, please provide your full TV model number, TV serial number and current software version installed.

    Best regards,
    Ina

I have the similar problem with my TV (only in series 47PFL7108K/12). My TV turns on or off after the pressing any key in remote control for HD Recorder (SONY) or digital photo frame (TRANSCEND). Additionaly TV turns on when you turn on the light in the room. The problem is not always, but intermittently. I bought my TV on 4 March. Since that time, the problem appeared several times and lasted average of two days.
Please help me solve my problem.
    Best regards

    Hi dolszowy,

Did you try my suggestion above at all?

I have also have a 46pfl8008s and have the exact same problem. From out of the blue my TV starts to react to all my remotes in my house (Denon Receiver and Humax Decoder) by switching off whichever key I press. If the TV is in standby it does the exact opposite: it turns on. I already tried the following to fix the problem:

    - Turn the TV off for at least half an hour without the power cord plugged in
    - Disconnect everything from the TV except the power cord
    - Remove the power cord from the Denon and Humax Devices
    - Update to the latest firmware
    - Factory reset

And nothing helps the TV still reacts to every remote in my house. Please help me with this problem because this renders my 1200euro television rather useless.

    Hi karlbani,

Thank you for providing detailed information about what you have already tried.

If your TV is up to date with the latest software (173.40 or 173.50) please report this in the software feedback thread:

    TV Model: 55PFL8008
    Firmware: 173.50

I Can not turn on the tv with the remote (works only after shutting down with power cord or turning on with button on back of the TV)
Universal remote stopped working with the TV (cannot tourno on/off. volume control)
I'll be glad for any help.

    Hi kostikr,

Since when has this started happening?

Have you tried to reinstall the TV?

    Best regards,
