    MCM250 /22: a very technical tuner question

Is there any way to enable the "extended" FM-OIRT band (65.81MHz - 74MHz)?
I found a service manual for this audio system. I was able to switch the tuner board from "EUR" (europe) mode to "EAS" (eastern europe) mode by soldering a BC847C transistor and a 100K resistor (see the attached screenshot from the service manual). The tuner is now detected as "EAS" (in the service test menu).

However, the FM-OIRT band is still not available. I did some digging and found something interesting in the service manual of another Philips system (MCM9) with identical ECO6 tuner board:

"By holding the ECO and TUNER buttons depressed while switching on the Mains supply,
one of the undermentioned features will be activated:
    - the tuning grid frequency is toggled between 9kHz and 10kHz for the Oversea (/21) version.
    - the extended FM1 (65.81MHz - 74MHz) is toggled on and off for East Eur. (/34) version."

I tried different button combinations but nothing seem to be working. Can anyone with knowledge help me with this?
