Exclamation BBC iPlayer has not worked for weeks

    It hasn't worked since 000.173.045.000

Very frustrating as it is one of my most used things on the TV.

Please can a mod confirm that this is a known issue and advise as to when it will be fixed?

    42pfl6008s in the UK.

    Thanks.

    Hi Waspattack,

Yes, we can confirm this is a known issue and that we are indeed working on resolving it.

In the meantime, please see the private message I sent you regarding this on April 3.

    Best regards,
    Ina

Apologies, Ina. I didn't realise this forum had private messages/notifications! I see them now however and have replied. Thank you.

Ina, do you have a rough estimate of how long this will take to resolve. iPlayer is typically the most important "net" feature on the TV for people in the UK. I use it daily!

    Hi jonstatt,

Unfortunately not. Any guesstimates I might have could also prove to disappoint, so I'd rather not try.

Please do contact the UK customer service team however, as they have a temporary work around in place for this issue specifically:

    http://philips.to/1bzwTtU

I'm afraid I'm not able to provide this work around via the forum, so the UK customer service team will need to be contacted.

    Best regards,
    Ina

Thank you Ina. The UK CS team have given me the workaround.

Have you tried following the link they would have emailed you?
I tried and it said the file was no longer available. I called customer services again who said it would be available the next day. It wasn't.

The link worked for me. I contacted support via online chat and the link was fed to me that way. It should be said the current workaround is far from optimal as its an old code base. They asked me to check back in a week when they hope to have an update about a true solution.
