    My 40PFL8008S/12 starts wihout SOUND

    Hello,

I'm new in this forum because I bought my first Philips Smart TV.
When I first open it after the configuration he asked for an FW update, so ... Iíve accepted.
Everything was fine until 2 days ago when the TV started without sound.
I've restarted a couple of time and nothing. After that Iíve unplugged it from power and re-plugged it.
    This solved my problem.
Today the problem appeared again and it was solved like the first time. Iíve notice that on my first start the display did not tuned on, but the ambilight was on.

My problem is that I will put it on a wall and my access to the power plug will be limited.
I cannot plug it on and off every time i start it.

Beside this problem my questions are about the Media Server (Twonky) and the WiFi Media Connect : Were do i get the key/code for them.

    Regards,
    Dan.

    Hi Dan,

On which source does this occur? Does it occur on all sources?

Please confirm the actual software version installed on the TV:
HOME > [Setup] > [Software settings] > [Current software inf.] > Version...

The key for Twonky will need to be obtained from Twonky. There are no offers for codes for your TV model.

In regards to WiFi Media Connect, this software is not supported on EU TVs from 2012 onward and therefore not on your TV.

    Best regards,
    Ina
