Unable to use Netflix and update firmware

    Hi,

    47PFL5038H/12

Since a few month I started to have the problem that Netflix did not start anymore.
After updating the TV's firmware via internet/wifi the Netflix app starts once but after switching the TV off it does not work anymore. So now I'm able to get it working but only once, as long as I don't restart my TV. So each time after turning it on I have to update the TV's firmware and after that I can watch netflix.
Before and after updating the TV always reports the exact same version, TPM1013E_003.000.000.001
I've tried updating to the latest version via USB (via a download from http://www.p4c.philips.com/cgi-bin/d...&slg=NL&scy=NL but also by writing a signature file to a USB disk and downloading via that link ), but this does not work, now the TV is reporting that the download is an invalid file but earlier it updated but the version just did not change.....
So I'm stuck on TPM1013E_003.000.000.001 although the philips site reports I should be able to install TPM1013E_003.007.000.001, not sure if this solves my netflix problem which is my only real issue for now but it might be related.
So somehow the firmware does not seem to update and/or stick after a reset.
I've followd all suggested instruction like switching it off after reboot for a minute and unplugging it for two minutes etc, but nothing seems to work.
Hope you can help me out.

    Kind regards
    Bas

    HI Bas,

My main concern is that the TV is not retaining the software update and you are now unable to update. This could have several causes, but are harder to troubleshoot via this forum.

I would advise that you contact your local customer service help desk, who will be able to perform diagnostics on your TVs software installation issue.

Select you country and preferred language, then Contact.

    Best regards,
    Ina

    Hi,

    for the update via USB-Stick:
    - make sure you format the stick with FAT
    - only copy the autorun.upg in the root of the stick (no folders, no other data)
