    In.Sight M100/B120 Heart bleed impact

    Dear In.Sight users,

Video archiving in Dropbox is currently suspended.
Due to the Heartbleed vulnerability Dropbox has updated their services. This means that all
third party applications (including In.Sight) whether vulnerable or not, must update their own
    service.
The In.Sight monitor update is in development. Once complete, it will work with the updated
Dropbox service. We will release the updated firmware as soon as possible. Once it’s ready,
you will receive a push notification within the In.Sight app.
Please accept our apology for any inconvenience caused. Should you wish to know more,
feel free to contact us at AccessoryApps@philips.com .

    Best regards,
    In.Sight support team

It has been 5 weeks/2 days since the "Heartbleed outbreak. All my other apps have been updated. However, In.Sight still does not work. I have two M100 cameras. I can see and hear activity in the rooms but the capture is grayed out. It is not a Dropbox problem because my Brother equipment is able to upload files to the Dropbox.

The last firmware release 6.7 for In.Sight is August 23, 2013. I wonder how much longer we have to wait. I am using the "In.Sight Pro" app. The last I heard was a fix would be available in early May.

    Thanks for any available information.

What is going on here? It should not matter what type of device you are using it it is a firmware update to the camera device. If the above statement is true the what gives?

I found a work around. It is inconvenient but it resolves the problem. I installed bluestacks on my computer and with that I downloaded the philips in.sight app and signed into my account. It prompted me to update the firmware and once it is done, dropbox recording is working fine now.

For those without android devices, installing an android emulator is probably the best alternative. Hope that helps.

... it occurs to me that the v7 Firmware is buggy as well: whilst with v6.x the Dropbox upload didn't work, now even when detection is disabled every motion gets uploaded. so, having the cam switched on even with disabled motion- or sound-detection, your Dropbox account is being flooded with recordings instantly.
holy moly - I get the impression that the guys at Philips seem to be over challenged with software production for their monitors.

    Hi,

from my point of view, that's the reason, why 7.0 was pulled back...

the update did not completely fix the problem. The camera records to drop box intermittently. It has to be unplugged and then plugged back in just for the dropbox to initiate and start recording. It will record for a few hours and then completely stop even if motion or sound is detected until it is unplugged and plugged back in again. There can be a range of minute gaps to hours of no recording at all. If you try to manually record it will say another video is currently uploading even though nothing has recorded. If it does record to manuall it does not always show up in dropbox. Please tell me version 7 was just a temporary fix and you still fixing all the bugs and glitches with the current version. This is getting Ridiculous.
