My 47PFL5008H/12 doesn't load usb videos subtitles

I have a 47PFL5008H/12 when I try to see a video from my usb that has subtitles, the tv doesn't display them. I updated my tv to the latest software version. In the subtitle options, the subtitles are selected, the language is selected, but no subtitles are display. I have tried videos that have subtitles in them, and videos with external subtitles in extensions .srt and .sub and nothing is display. To sum it up, the tv is updated, the subtitles options are enable, but no subtitles are ever display.

I need to see this problem fixed, please help.

    Thank you.

    Hi,

    try:
    - movie.avi
    - movie.srt

(both need to have the same name)

Then activate the subtitle via remote control.

    I forgot to mention that.
I did put the name of the movie file and the subtitle file equal.

    movie.avi
    movie.srt

    movie.avi
    movie.sub

    movie.mkv
    movie.srt

    movie.mkv
    movie.sub

movie.mkv (with subtitles in the movie.mkv file)

    Non of this works.

I also have a 22PFL3507H and the same usb stick works in that model but not in the 47PFL5008H model

    Hi Wilson,

Did you activate the subtitles via the remote control Subtitles button?

    Best regards,

    Hi Ina,

Perhaps you miss it in my initial comment, but as I said "In the subtitle options, the subtitles are selected, the language is selected, but no subtitles are display."

So yes, I did have the subtitles activated.

    Hi guys,

Could you supply me with the video and subtitles files in question, please?
I have so far been unable to reproduce the issue and would like to see the files myself.

You can use a service such as Dropbox and send the link to me in a Private message.

Click on my name and then click on Private Message.

    Best regards,
    Ina

I have a similar problem with my new 46PFL8008s 12. Files in AVI format work just fine with either hard burned or external set-subs. Using MKV or MP4 containers are more problematic. Sub files extracted (mixed) from the container does not wok. Even when they are placed in same map with identical names but the art and mkv ends. But what is more frustrating is that mkv and mp4 does not work with external files either. That indicates that the tv can not handle external files together with MKV or MP4 files. Are there a solution? I using an external hard drive NTFS formated.
