    AW2000 fan noise

    Hi,

Is it possible to turn off the active cooling fan in AW2000?

My brand new AW2000 is cooled by a small fan placed on the bag of the device. A small fan has to turn fast in order to move enough air. When the fan turns fast, it then produces fan noise. The fan noise is disturbing my film or music experience in especially quite passages in classical music or film. The fan turns on after some time like 1 hour.

I'm so sad over the AW2000, because I on one side can't accept an amplifier making noise, and on the other side I'm so amazed by the functionality playing music from all my devices like tablets, smart phones and from Serviio (my DLNA media server).

I live in a Scandinavian country, where the in house temperature is not getting over 25 -27 degree Celsius during summer. So I think the fan is not needed in my cold country. My computer is equipped with fans too, but they are big, so they turn slow producing low noise. My pc is still to noisy for me when listening to classical music with quite passages. I wonder why AW2000 has a fan at all.

I hope some one can help, or I've to return the amplifier.

    Regards
    Jan Rou
