Angry 42PFL40007H/12 - Transparent gray strip on my screen

My smart TV is only 1 year & 3 months old from purchase at Courts. Suddenly, a transparent gray strip on my TV screen appeared and I can't remove it by trying several video resettings. What seems to be the problem & how to fix this?

I feedback to Philips customer care and I was asked to rather provide receipt for service warranty. I said I already lost the receipt but registered the unit online on same week of purchase. But the customer care insisted me to find the receipt instead. The warranty of LCD/LED screen is supposedly 3 years. I am so disappointed....

    Hi ricmac1,

Without the proof of purchase we are often unable to determine the warranty status of the TV, which could be the reason why the claim has been rejected. Registering a product on My Philips is not always an acceptable means to determine warranty in all countries.

If you would like me to try an look into the case further, please send me a private message with the following information:

    Your full name
    Your country of residence
    You email address
Any Philips Customer Service reference you may have

    Best regards,
    Ina
