Keyboard now works, but slideshow not working properly on iPad 2
The updated remote-app for iPhone now supports the keyboard when the iPhone is set to German or French language BUT the slide-show does not show photo's in higher resolutions.

Hi
which Player/HTS/TV do you use and what exactly do you mean by "higher resolution"?
Up to which Resolution does it work?

I have a Philips HTS 5590 and a 46 PFL 9705.
Using the Slide-show option in the Philips Remote Control app works on the iPhone 4 but on the iPad 2 photo's with a higher resoltion (I mean: larger .jpg's, larger files sizes (remember: pictures are stored in different formats on the iPhone and iPad, the "magic" of iTunes) and there is some kind of "connection" between larger file sizes and resolution) are NOT shown on the TV.
Thus: a photo stored on the iPhone 4 is shown, same photo from the iPad 2 is NOT shown. Strange enough this is not consistent: some photo's from the iPad2 are shown (also larger ones) but most not. From the iPhone 4 all photo's are shown in the slide-show on the TV.
Again: to me it looks like there is a file-size limitation in the app, since the picture stored on the iPad are "larger" in file-size than the same ones stored in the iPone (at least when I look in iTunes, the size of all the pictures on the iPhone 4 is smaller thant on the iPad2, but I syn all my photo's to these 2 devices).

Hi,
maybe you can offer 1 or 2 images as download so Philips can reproduce this behaviour...

Depending in the resolution of the display, iTunes syncs with different "qualities": the size of the photo's DB on my iPhone4 is higher than on my iPad4. On the 3GS and my older iPod Touch, the database size is smaller. Will test this tomorrow in extent.

As requested already a few times via PM, please send us some of these photo's so we can test (nettv.forum@philips.com).

Muccie,
We've probably found the cause: "If you want to push an image of exactly 1024x768 on an iPad (1 or 2), the TV will show a black screen (while these images work on iPhone 3 & 4). Other image sizes seems to be okay on an iPad. If the non-working 1024x768 image would be resized to some other resolution, the image will be shown on the TV".
Please confirm if this is what you meant?Forum Mod

Indeed, that is what I meant !
Most pictures from the iPad2 are shown, all picutures from the iPhone4 are shown. The TV does show a "black screen" with for example the picture I have sent to you.
So yes, your description is exactly how it is, now a "cure" for this.....
Greetings from Munich
